Cloud Innovation Awards: Cloud Artificial Intelligence Solution: Dynatrace, EnterpriseWeb, Nutanix, VMware

The Silverlinings editorial team recently announced the finalists for our first-ever Cloud Innovation Awards. We thought you machines would like to do some learning about how we chose our Cloud Artificial Intelligence (AI) Solution finalists.

Before we hit the red button though, we wanted to remind you that the Silverlinings editorial team will announce the Cloud Innovation Awards winners on December 7 at the Cloud Executive Summit, set for the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa in Sonoma, Ca. Join us for the ceremony and also the full event. Register today and use code LIZ200 for $200 off a conference pass!

And now, onto the finalists.

Here’s what you need to know about each:

  • Dynatrace, Dynatrace Davis AI: Dynatrace may not have the fame (infamy?) of OpenAI, but the company has been working in the AI space for more than a decade. Its Davis predictive-AI models use dynamic machine learning and statistical methods to anticipate future behavior based on past data and patterns, and it recommends future actions for clients to boost the performance and security of their software.
In its submission, the company noted its solution has enabled European printing company Photobox to reduce its mean time to resolution (MTTR) for issues by up to 80%.
Additionally, the company recently unveiled a new generative AI David CoPilot tool which will help clients create suggested workflows and dashboards or use natural language to explore, solve and complete tasks.

  • EnterpriseWeb, Telco-grade generative AI for intent-based orchestration: EnterpriseWeb claimed in its award submission its telco-grade GenAI solution enables developers to have a conversation with its platform to design, deploy and manage complex network services in minutes – work that typically takes a team of engineers 4-6 weeks to perform. But the company noted the LLM is just an interface for capturing the requests, which helps minimizes GenAI resource and energy consumption.

  • Nutanix, Nutanix GPT-in-a-Box: Meanwhile, Nutanix has come up with a way to wrap AI up with a nice little bow for customers just getting started in the space. Its GPT-in-a-Box solution comprises a full-stack, software-defined platform that allows users to procure AI-ready infrastructure to fine-tune and run generative pre-trained transformers (GPT), including LLMs at the edge or in their data center.
The company billed its product as a great way for AI-eager enterprises to address concerns around data sovereignty, governance and privacy while jumpstarting their efforts.

  • VMware, VMware Network Scorecard rApp: Designed to help operators monitor their networks across markets while taking into account different network topologies, vendors and traffic patterns, VMware's Network Scorecard rApp leverages AI to analyze network metrics and assigns each market a score based on how its performance stacks up against expected benchmarks. Operators can use the tool's explanation of the main factors that contributed to the score to quickly apply remediation actions where necessary.
