Wish us luck!
We’ve got something to celebrate, and no, it’s not just the fact that it’s Friday. Fierce Network is proud to announce that its Silverlinings team won four regional Azbee awards.
Earlier this month, Silverlinings merged with Fierce Wireless and Fierce Telecom to become Fierce Network. Our Azbee award nominations were submitted well before the change, so the awards were filed under the Silverlinings name.
For those not in the know, the Azbee Awards are handed out by the American Society of Business Publication Editors.
"I am thrilled that the Azbee team recognized us for our editorial excellence. In the age of GenAI, our team strives to produce original news analysis that not only covers industry trends but also provides global context," Fierce Network's Editor in Chief Elizabeth Coyne said. "Congratulations to the edit team and onward to Nationals."
Our team came away with one gold, two silver and one bronze award. Here’s the rundown:
Regional Gold
Silverlinings founder Stephen Saunders won a Regional Gold Award for his series of Op-Eds tackling a variety of telco issues. In case you missed them, you can read a few here, here and here. His entry now moves on to compete at the national level for supreme dominance. Huzzah!
Regional Silvers
The team also snagged two Regional Silver Awards. Senior Reporter Dan Jones and Executive Editors Diana Goovaerts and Mitch Wagner won Silver for their coverage of Broadcom’s VMware acquisition and the subsequent fallout. And Goovaerts and Editorial Intern Harrison Saunders also bagged an award for Single Topic Coverage by a Team for their coverage of the liquid cooling market. We’re so proud!
Regional Bronze
And finally, Goovaerts snagged a Regional Bronze Award in the Individual Profile category for her write up on Google Cloud CTO Will Grannis. It was notably the first-ever profile of Grannis. If you haven’t read it, check it out here and catch her entire executive profile series here.
Don't worry, we have no plans to rest on our laurels. Fierce Network will continue to bring you hard hitting reporting, forward-looking analysis and all the forecasts you need to stay on the bleeding edge of the wireless, broadband and cloud markets. Onward!
