Happy Friday, Silverliners. With all the weird weather going around, we couldn't help stirring up a few newly promoted thrill seekers to lead this week’s cloud career moves — the storm chaser edition. You definitely want to hold onto your hat for this one.
Kristi Thiele, VP of Worldwide Sales Engineering, Gigamon
Kristi Thiele has been promoted to vice president of worldwide sales engineering at Gigamon, a deep observability company. Thiele will lead the team to ensure cloud security and contain hybrid cloud costs and complexity. Although chiefly a recreational activity, Jenkins is pretty positive storm chasing counts as a second career.
Rahim Bhatia, Chief Strategy Officer, Boomi
Boomi, a cloud-based integration platform-as-a-service (iPaaS) company, named Rahim Bhatia as chief strategy officer. Bhatia will further develop and execute on the company’s strategy for driving organizational growth and customer success. Bhatia’s favorite storms to chase are rain storms — he’s here for the rainbows, not the twisters.
Sally Jenkins, CMO, SentinelOne
Autonomous cybersecurity company SentinelOne announced Sally Jenkins as chief marketing officer. Jenkins will oversee the planning, development and global execution of the company’s marketing strategy. Sally prefers staking out on the edge of Tornado Alley… preferably next to a nice resort?
Marco Crolla, Chief Audiences Officer, UserTesting
Marco Crolla has been named chief audiences officer at UserTesting, a human insight platform. Crolla will be responsible for strategy, delivering participant sourcing services and managing operations for audience and panel networks worldwide. Crolla is known in the storm community for being an extra in the American reality TV show Real Storm Chasers of Orange County.
Jason Forget, President and Chief Revenue Officer, Cockroach Labs
Cockroach Labs, a cloud-native, distributed SQL database, announced Jason Forget will be joining the company as president and chief revenue officer. Forget will help the company capitalize on and accelerate its recent customer growth and expansion. We expect Forget is a natural when it comes to forecasting the next big storm, so hang on tight.
