AT&T, Palo Alto Networks launch AI-powered defense for enterprise security

  • AT&T Dynamic Defense integrates Zero Trust, DLP, SWG, and CASB in a single managed solution
  • AI-powered visibility and response tools aim to streamline threat management across hybrid workforces
  • Customer trials begin this summer, with general availability expected later this year

AT&T is expanding its cybersecurity footprint through a new strategic partnership with Palo Alto Networks, launching an integrated solution called AT&T Dynamic Defense. The offering targets enterprise and mid-market customers with a focus on real-time protection, automated threat response and simplified security operations.

The solution incorporates a robust set of features, including Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Secure Web Gateway (SWG), and Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB). The goal is to provide customers with a secure, AI-optimized architecture that protects users, devices and data regardless of location.

ZTNA ensures all users and devices are verified before gaining access to critical systems, while DLP technology guards against the unauthorized exposure of sensitive data. The integrated SWG component protects users from web-based threats and applies granular security policies during web access. CASB capabilities offer visibility and control over SaaS applications and data in the cloud.

The new offering also utilizes Strata Cloud Manager, Palo Alto Networks’ centralized management platform, which helps deliver AI-enhanced threat visibility and streamlined policy control across the security stack.

As part of the collaboration, AT&T and Palo Alto Networks will also introduce a co-branded secure browser built on Prisma Access Browser. The browser is designed to protect against advanced web threats while providing native integration with SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) architectures.

Customer trials for AT&T Dynamic Defense are expected to begin this summer, with general availability later in 2025.
