Telefónica Business Solutions is deploying a new security service across five countries for Latin American airline Avianca. With the new security services, Avianca, which is the second oldest airline in the world, and Telefónica Business Solutions expanded on their digital services partnership that was formed in 2018.
Using the Akamai Intelligent Platform, the new security service will help automatically manage traffic for Avianca. Telefónica will also kick in its "customer reputation" technology, which assigns reputational scores to all IP addresses while also assessing the possible risk each address poses for Avianca.
Avianca's overall information security management is improved by combining both services, which enables better security analysis and reduction of security incidents, according to Telefónica.
