Aryaka is pouring more cash into its hyperscale point-of-presence (POP), aiming to add 27 new POPs in 21 countries over the next few years as part of a bid to boost its presence in the secure access service edge (SASE) and SD-WAN markets.
“Aryaka’s Global Points-of-Presence (POPs) are fundamental to its ability to deliver fast, reliable, and secure cloud and SaaS access from any location in the world,” wrote Renuka Nadkarni, chief product officer at Aryaka, to Silverlinings. “Investment in our PoP architecture enables us to improve application performance.”
Aryaka’s PoP rollout is ongoing — more than 40 are already in-use. The next PoPs to go live will be where Aryaka sees the most immediate regional customer demand.
Specifically, the map below shows its roadmap which includes plans to significantly densify its PoPs in North America and Europe, adding 10 in the former and nine in the latter. It is also looking to build five more in Asia and one each in Australia, New Zealand and South America.
The investment will cater to organizations relying on hybrid workforces in need of wireless connectivity. “Our hyperscale infrastructure offers our users faster connection speeds and cloud-delivered services to improve observability into network and security postures while meeting unique regulatory requirements and performance needs for different geographical locations,” Nadkarni wrote.
Nadkarni said Aryaka’s solution is targeting “organizations using a large volume of SaaS applications, across a global, distributed workforce, with employees who are both remote and in-office.” Especially, those with a global footprint who can’t risk disruption caused by security incidents or network outages.
Others targeting enterprises with SASE solutions include Versa Networks, Cato Networks and VMware.
Beyond PoPs
The SASE company will be deploying its AppAssure solution with its PoP expansion, “which offers a set of application visibility and control capabilities for Aryaka’s network, provides insights into jitter, latency, and loss per app and per user to optimize network and application performance and enhances security,” said Nadkarni — for both on-site and remote users.
Finally, Aryaka will offer customers more options for last-mile services with wire or wireless connectivities. Its Last Mile Services will enable LTE, 4G and 5G connections in at least 90 countries using Cradlepoint Wireless Edge and NetCloud.
