Scaling Networks for the Future: Arrcus’ Vision at MWC

At MWC 2025, Arrcus showcases its cutting-edge advancements in network scaling, emphasizing AI-driven solutions for the evolving digital landscape. CEO Shekar Ayyar highlighted the company’s focus on software innovation, enabling telecom and data center operators to optimize network performance on high-performance silicon from Broadcom and NVIDIA.

Arrcus made three major announcements: a AI-ready network switch, TGAX, developed with Nvidia; a partnership with Actapio leveraging Broadcom’s Tomahawk 5 silicon for AI data centers; and a collaboration with Liberty Global to power next-gen applications like volumetric video. Arrcus’s presence extended across multiple partner booths, including Red Hat, Intel, Samsung, and more, solidifying its leadership in software-driven networking solutions.

Diana Goovaerts:

Shekar Ayyar, it's so great to be here with you at MWC. For those who may not be familiar with Arrcus, what does your company do and what sets you apart from others in the industry?

Shekar Ayyar:

So Arrcus provides routing and switching, somewhat similar to what companies like Cisco and Juniper and Arista and Huawei do, except that we are innovating at the software layer. And you can think about Arrcus as having a common software environment that is programmable and that allows people to create and deploy new network functions and services, particularly for the AI era, on top of silicon from companies like Broadcom as well as Nvidia.

Diana Goovaerts:

And I know you guys made some exciting announcements at the show. Can you give us some highlights?

Shekar Ayyar:

Oh, absolutely. At this show, we had three great announcements this morning. So one of them essentially talked about a new network switch that we have announced in collaboration with Nvidia called the TGAX. And this allows telecom operators to put into their edge environments a platform that combines Arrcus's network operating system with Nvidia's spectrum for silicon and then allows them to offer up AI, AI-RAN, as well as other network functions and services on top of that switch.

Another exciting announcement that we have provided is with Actapio, where Actapio using Broadcom's Tomahawk 5 silicon is now building out AI data centers.

And then the third one has to do with how we are equipping Liberty Global to actually demonstrate applications like video as well as volumetric video on top of Arrcus's network operating system working with companies like Fujitsu as well as Philips and Eviden in terms of bringing that to their customers.

Diana Goovaerts:

Excellent. That sounds like a lot of interesting stuff and this is a really interesting booth. Tell us where else we can see Arrcus's technology in action on the show floor.

Shekar Ayyar:

So at this show, we are actually in a number of partner booths, so you can see us in the Liberty Global booth as I just mentioned. You can also see us in Red Hat, in Intel. We are featured also in Samsung. And then we've got a number of other partners that are actually working with us, companies like Nvidia, and we are kind of doing a lot of joint meetings with them. So you're likely to see us as you kind of go around the show floor in a number of other infrastructure companies that are working closely with us.

Diana Goovaerts:

Excellent. We can't wait to check it all out.

Shekar Ayyar:

Likewise. Thank you so much for coming in here.

Diana Goovaerts:

Thank you.
