Alejandro Piñero:
Well, Billy, thanks for having us here in the new open part of the Ericsson stand at MWC Barcelona, and I'm very excited to hear about FWA. Big topic. What are you guys talking about? What are you seeing in terms of FWA in the market?
Billy Neal:
Yeah. For service providers, FWA is a big growth opportunity. It's a big growth factor. They're looking for additional subscribers. Just to quote a really great data point that we have in our FWA handbook, in the U.S. we're seeing that FWA is 90% of the fixed broadband net ads across both wireline and carrier. So what we're seeing is with the advantages of 5G, the wireless carriers are competing head-to-head with the traditional wireline players.
Alejandro Piñero:
Got it. Now, in terms of Ericsson specifically, what are you guys working on in terms of technology and what are you hearing from your clients as the deployments come to life?
Billy Neal:
Yeah. Well, we're seeing in the market, traditionally we played in the enterprise space and where we see a big gap is in the small business sector of the market. So either you have these enterprise grade solutions, which are maybe a little bit more than what a small business needs, or you see consumer grade solutions being offered to businesses and they just don't have the features that they need. So what we've done is we've introduced our X20, we just announced it about a week ago, and this is our tailored solution for small businesses. So really excited about it. Really excited to get it out there with the carriers and have those small businesses benefit from it.
Alejandro Piñero:
Excellent. Well, thanks for having us, Billy. Have a great show.
Billy Neal:
Yeah. Thank you. Appreciate it.
