Congruex has opened its wallet again by reaching a deal to acquire CHC Consulting, an engineering consulting firm focused on providing outside plant engineering services for telecom providers.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not revealed.
Founded in 2003, CHC provides turnkey professional services related to design, project management, process development, and staffing to a range of large telecom customers. CHC manages projects from inception through implementation, providing what it calls "frictionless solutions" while maintaining deep and collaborative ties to its customers.

Congruex’s acquisition of CHC appears to be part of a broader effort by the company to expand its capabilities by targeted acquisitions. This is the second acquisition Congruex made in recent months, having purchased CCLD Technologies in November.
These acquisitions followed Congruex’s partnership with private equity firm Crestview Partners, which has experience in the telecom, cable and business service segments. As of May 2017, funds managed by Crestview and the Congruex leadership team have committed $200 million of equity to the new platform, as part of what is expected to be a total investment of approximately $500 million.
By bringing more of these assets into its fold, Congruex can further establish itself as a potential emerging competitor to larger telecom construction providers like Dycom.
