Adtran reported that second-quarter sales were $184.7 million, up from the $162.7 million recorded in the second quarter of 2016. Net income was $12.4 million compared to $10.2 million in the like period a year ago.

AT&T reported consolidated revenues were $39.8 billion, down from $40.5 billion in the year-ago quarter, primarily due to what the telco said was declines in legacy wireline services and consumer mobility.

CenturyLink reported second-quarter operating revenues were $4.09 billion compared to $4.4 billion in second quarter 2016 driven by the decline in legacy revenues, as well as the revenue reduction due to the Colocation sale.

Level 3 Communications
Level 3 reported total revenue of $2.06 billion for the second quarter 2017, compared to $2.05 billion for the second quarter 2016. In the second quarter 2017, the company generated net income of $154 million and basic earnings per share of $0.42.

TDS Telecom's overall results for the second quarter were mixed. While the telco reported strong growth in broadband and IPTV revenues, lower equipment revenue in HMS resulted in total revenues declining 6%. Total wireline revenues rose 3% to $181 million.
