GTT is enhancing its channel partner program to better respond to this segment's needs, naming three of its current executives to lead the effort.
Under the new structure, three regional vice presidents, each with extensive industry experience heading successful channel partner programs, will lead GTT’s channel partner program: Robert Westervelt, East region; Michael Gough, Central region; and Roland Saenz, West region.
GTT provides partners with a dedicated team supporting the sales process, including sales engineering, quoting, project management and client account management, as well as marketing support, including product training and promotional materials.

“The indirect channel is core to GTT’s organic growth and a key focus for our company,” said Eric Warren, division president for Enterprise at GTT, in a release.
Channel partners that work with GTT get access to a portfolio that includes the service provider’s SD-WAN service, which leverages the service provider’s internet backbone and array of broadband and internet connectivity options.
By acquiring Hibernia, Perseus and Giglinx, GTT added optical transport, low-latency Ethernet services to its service lineup. It also added DDoS and expanded its global network into Latin America and Africa.
GTT will talk about its new channel program at channel events throughout the coming year including the 2018 Channel Partner Conference & Expo, where Rick Calder, GTT president and CEO, will be a featured keynote speaker.
Revamping the channel program is just one of several moves GTT has made this year to enhance the way it serves customers. In June, GTT created three new divisions—enterprise, carrier and EMEA—in an effort to accelerate sales growth and give it more of a hands-on focused approach that allows it to craft solutions for each customer type.
