The United States Marine Corps Recruiting Command has enlisted the aid of MetTel to provision its global recruiting command centers with new broadband services.
MetTel is replacing the Marine Corps Recruiting Command's T-1 lines with faster broadband services. The recruiting stations previously had download speeds of 1.5 Mbps, which MetTel has increased to up to 25 Mbps.

MetTel has also reduced the telecommunication costs on the replaced services by more than 70% across the Marine Corps Recruiting Districts. MetTel will also provide managed help-desk services, as well as invoicing and billing oversight to further reduce network downtime.
Throughout the term of the contract for the services, MetTel will enable "very small site design" (VSSD) sites to meet future bandwidth requirements, including 5G capabilities as well as building internet capabilities that will support video conferencing.
MetTel said it was in position to provide the U.S. Marine Corp Recruiting Command with a range of services that include Ethernet, cable, fiber or other technologies to provide secure connectivity. MetTel will also provide program management and network monitoring.
