Wow! We had a lot of voting for the second annual FierceTelecom Rising Star. And the winner is: Orange's Samir El Rashidy.
Last week we published our story “FierceTelecom presents its 2020 class of Rising Stars,” listing 11 top executives on the rise. It was a diverse class of young executives making names for themselves at some of the top companies in telecom.
But Orange rallied its troops more than any other company, amassing 37,552 votes for its Rising Star out of a total 103,078 votes cast.
Samir El Rashidy is senior director head of pre-sales for Orange Business Services in North America, where his team leads technology discussions with global enterprises. In his 15 years with Orange, El Rashidy has held different roles and worked in different regions, including the Middle East, Africa, Europe and Latin America.
