T-Systems, the IT division of Deutsche Telekom, cited contracts worth about $2.4 billion as proof that its cloud and digital strategy is paying off.
Towards the end of last year, Shell, Heineken and Deutsche Post DHL Group renewed long-term partnerships with T-Systems. The large contracts and partnership were also a validation of a renewed focus on IT and digital services by T-Systems that started several years ago.

Frankfurt, Germany-based T-Systems was founded in 2000 as a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom. In 2019, Deutsche Telecom took back responsibility for corporate telecom clients as part of a restructuring plan for T-Systems. The revamped T-Systems now focuses on IT and digital services.
Shell and T-Systems are extended their long-term strategic IT collaboration and Shell renewed its global master services agreement that was designed to reduce the carbon footprint of its IT operations. As a side note, Deutsche Telekom became a customer of Shell, with Shell providing Deutsche Telekom low carbon products and services.
Deutsche Post DHL Group extended its long-term framework agreement with T-Systems whereby T-Systems continues to manage the information and communications technology of the logistics company, which included IT operations as well as voice and data networks.
Heineken and T-Systems signed a commercial agreement for another five years. As part of that agreement, T-Systems will help Heineken migrate to the public cloud as part of the brewer's digital transformation.

Last year T-Systems announced expanded its partnerships with Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud as part of its effort to expand its cloud portfolio.
