Matthew Brady has stepped down from his position as CEO of Westell following a brief four-month tenure.
Besides saying that Brady resigned to pursue other opportunities, Westell did not provide any additional information for the departure from the company. Kirk Brannock, Westell’s board chairman, has been named interim president and CEO.
In July 2016, Westell named Brady as the company’s president and CEO, replacing Brannock, who served as interim president and CEO after what had been a challenging transition period for the telecom vendor.

Westell said its board plans to conduct a search for a permanent CEO.
Brannock served as interim President and CEO from October 2016 through July 2017, following the departure of Thomas Gruenwald in September 2016. During that period, Brannock led the company’s efforts to rationalize its expense structure and positioning Westell for future success in the in-building wireless Public Safety market and the emerging wireless deployment of Centralized Radio Access Networks.
Additionally, Brannock served as a member of Westell’s board of directors from February 2011 to September 2014, and was appointed Westell’s chairman of the board in September 2017, a position he will retain.
