BAI Communications is an established telecommunications name. Established in 1923, its focus has been around shared network infrastructure, with recent success in deploying metro networks in locations as varied as New York, Toronto, Hong Kong, London and more as well as Wi-Fi networks in urban centers, military bases and venues. The BAI family comprises six different companies, and Group CEO Igor Leprince is keen to build a cohesive brand to bring all the expertise under one name.
Having recently announced its complete rebrand to Boldyn Networks, from June of this year, it is safe to say BAI Communications is undergoing an important transformation. However, whilst the name will change, the focus remains the same. In this podcast, we sit down with Group CEO Igor Leprince to discuss the rebrand and their belief in connecting everyone by leveraging the power of standalone networks. The new company identity will bring all their brands under one corporate identity in the Northern Hemisphere, namely Mobilitie, Signal Points Systems, Transit Wireless, Vilicom and ZenFi Networks.
Beyond the rebrand, Igor is keen to reinforce that their mission to bring neutral hosting to cities and communities around the world won’t change. With an increased focus on the digital divide, and the need to connect everyone, many believe neutral hosting solutions will play a key role in many different situations, and Igor and his team are no exception.
It isn’t very often that we see a major market player change their corporate identity, and whilst there are certainly risks involved in losing that all-important brand equity, Igor is keen to express his belief that this is the right time to change things up and pave a new path forward for the company.
