Verizon Business is making changes to its leadership structure, with Debika Bhattacharya named chief product officer and Iris Meijer taking over as senior vice president of Business Marketing and Revenue Operations.
Bhattacharya reports to Verizon Business CEO Tami Erwin, who announced last month that she’s leaving Verizon at the end of 2022 after 35 years with the company. Meijer reports to Sampath Sowmyanarayan, chief revenue officer of Verizon Business.
The chief product officer position with Verizon Business previously was held by Aamir Hussain, who joined Liberty Latin America earlier this year as SVP and chief technology and product officer.
According to a press release, Bhattacharya is responsible for Verizon Business’ product portfolio and its strategy and alignment with Verizon’s Network-as-a-Service framework, including edge compute, software defined network, IoT and 5G services, global networking solutions, security, advanced communications services and managed services. She leads product management across all customer segments.
Previously she held the role of SVP, 5G & Enterprise Solutions at Verizon Business, responsible for delivering 5G solutions to Verizon’s Global Enterprise and Government customers, leading a team of more than 1,100 sales and technology professionals across 20 countries.
In her new position, Meijer will lead all facets of digital, integrated and product marketing for Verizon Business, including commercial operations, pricing, field marketing and events, customer lifecycle, digital media, analyst relations and more.
Before joining Verizon late last year, she was at Vodafone Business, where she was global chief marketing officer. Previous to that position, she was at Nokia, where she served as vice president of Customer Marketing and Communications.
